Giveaways a go-go

Both my square neck smocky tops made it through testing this weekend, an order has been put in at the printers and they'll shortly be in my Etsy shop. But first, giveaway time....

First, the puffed sleeved variety. To remind you what it looks like, here's my version. Don't worry, the tutorial doesn't tell you to sew your body fabric in upside-down. That's my own fail innovation.

And here's the top made by my tester, the lovely Louiz:

The second pattern giveaway is for the reversible sleeveless smocky top:

And the creation made by my tester, the talented Sew Scrumptious:

Ignore the triumphant Roger Federer in the background, because Andy Roddick should have won.

You should visit both their blogs (here and here) to read about their testing journeys. If nothing else, to confirm what I you have always suspected: I'm a genius. They both say so, and that makes it Fact.

Both tops are in sizes 18m/2T and 3T/4T. To enter the giveaway, leave a comment on which pattern you would like as your prize. You can comment more than once if you mention this giveaway on Twitter, your blog, as a link in your Facebook, or any other internet magic you can perform. I'll pick two winners on Friday!

  1. I've been sitting here for 5 minutes trying to work out which I like best. Tough choice, very tough, but I think the sleeves win through. Fantastic as always.

  5. Oh man, as much as I love all things reversible, I think this time it would have to be the sleeved version :-)
    Lovely!

  6. Hmmmmm....I think either of the patterns would look great using the leftover fabric I have from the amazingly amazing hoodie. I think I'd go with the sleeveless one and then I could layer it (size 3T/4T).

  7. We all know what a genius you are, I love all your clothing :) I'm into reversible things at the moment so it would be the sleeveless one for me. Am off to twitter about the giveaway now.

  9. I think I will go with the 'sleeved' pattern as I have a horrible feeling our daughter will have shoulders that sunburn despite sunscreen, just like her mom.

  10. I have had to make a cup of tea while I work out which I like best but I think the sleeves do it for me. I'm thinking they are quite generous sizings and my daughter is a midget so it won't matter that she is almost 5.
I'm going to twitter and I may even blog about it tonight.

  14. These tops are just gorgeous - I love them both! I think the one with sleeves is my favourite though.
I was given a sewing machine while I was pregnant with my little girl, who is now 8 months old. I really want to have a go at making clothes for her, but haven't been brave enough to start yet. Your fab blog is inspiring me loads though, and I can't wait to get started!

  16. ooh! I made your reversible coat a month or two back and am still raking in the praise - though I do tell people it's all down to your amazing instructions:) I'd love to try my hand at the puffy sleeved version - have some fabulous fabric ('gumbo pears' by lollychops) that would suit it down to the ground.
